My name is Phil Holt and these are my personal powder pigments. Handmade by me personally and used by me professionally. I have been making and using my own hand mixed pigments since 1999. I have not, do not and will not use anything else in my tattooing. Working with them day in and day out I have come to hone in the exact consistency and flow that I like for my own use. It is my personal preference. Caught in the quest to prefect the imperfect process of tattooing, I make these pigments specifically for the way I tattoo. These same pigments are here available for other professionals to use. Let’s be wise and if you’re not a professional, please don’t tattoo. Please don’t jeopardize and entire industry because of your laziness. Be professional or explore hobby painting on the weekends. theres nothing wrong with that. I will only sell to professionals.
Old Gold pigments are made with: Powder pigment • Distilled water • Glycerin • Vodka

I had a pleasant surprise to see my hands pictured in this summer’s issue of Buddhadharma magazine. Christopher Onstott took this photo while Maitripa College was preparing for HH visit and during our meditation class on emptiness. I am really happy my hands are making their way around the globe tattooed, scarred and with love. Thanks to whomever is responsibile. Cheerfully, M

Olivia and Mikki have pieces in the Compound Art Show located at 107 NW 5th street.
Opening night was last night.
I heard it was shoulder to shoulder in the gallery being it was Portland Art Walk night downtown.
I am happy they were able to draw folks in to celebrate the opening of the show. I will be going down this week to check out the other artist’s work with Dboy and Kristin.
If you get a chance please go down and check it out. Cheers,
I got a pretty cool surprise in the mail last friday.

This last March marked my 28th year in this craft.
Thanks Frenchie for including me.
I have had the great fortune to have periodically studied under Henning Jorgensen from Royal Tattoo in Helsingor Denmark and to have been included in his anniversary book.
Thirty years Royal Tattoo has been putting out unbelievable works. Helsingor is a quaint little town about an hour train ride north of Copenhagen.
When you leave the train station, there is a town center that welcomes you lined with little shops, as well as the Kronberg castle that Shakespeare had been inspired by when he wrote Romeo and Juliette. Hans Christian Anderson had lived on the same street as the shop. You can tell the is still a essence of Fairy presence thriving to this day. This little town that puts out some of the best tattoos in the world. The weekends transform into a mecca for the Sweds that come over to buy up alcohol that is regulated in their country. It is a trip to watch the change the town goes through each week. I am ever so thankful to have had this experience and to be apart of such a wonderful bunch of folks in this book that share this memory that Henning has offered.
To many more years Henning. Much love and respect, Ms. Mikki
